Dr Sarah Loch – educator and researcher
After graduating from The McDonald College, Sarah Loch pursued her passion for literature and the humanities by completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and History, from the University of Sydney.
After some years as a social educator in the disability sector, Sarah undertook a Master of Teaching qualification and has worked in secondary education since 1998. Sarah has also completed her Master of Educational Studies and Doctor of Philosophy with the University of Queensland. Her PhD investigated the influence of subject choice and elective subjects on future planning of middle-years girls.
Sarah is currently Director of Research and Development at the Pymble Institute, Pymble Ladies College, a kindergarten to Year 12 girls’ school in Sydney. The Pymble Institute focuses on research, professional learning and innovation and it has a collegial relationship with UTS’ School of International Studies and Education.
