Actor, singer and dancer Daniel Raso
Daniel Raso is an Australian-based actor, singer and dancer known for his roles across TV, musical theatre, and film. Following his time at The McDonald College, he trained at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music, Urban Dance Centre, and Cool Kidz Song & Dance Co.
Most recently, Daniel received rave reviews for his portrayal of Simeon in the Australian tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. “Daniel Raso’s rendition of Those Canaan Days is career-defining, with the audience applause, whoops and hollers literally stopping the show. And the wow factor of Raso’s sustained notes? Bravo, sir!”
He has held numerous roles in theatrical productions, including David Van in American Psycho (Hayes Theatre), Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys (New Theatricals), Michael Wormwood in Matilda The Musical (Australian tour), Sonny & Ensemble in Grease (Australasian tour), Paul in Kiss Me Kate (Chinese tour) and Cash in The Tap Pack (Civic Theatre).
He was also an assistant choreographer in Doctor Zhivago (World Premiere), High School Musical (Capitol Theatre), Thomas and the Hidden Treasure (Asian tour), The Little Big Club (Asian/Middle East tour) and Beaudy (Parade Theatre).
Daniel has appeared in television roles, including Puberty Blues (Network 10) and A Place to Call Home (Channel 7) and was a top-24 finalist in the 2009 season of Australian Idol (Network 10).
His film credits include two Bollywood feature films, Orange (2010) and Mr Perfect (2011).
