Vanessa Zhao graduated from The McDonald College in 2015, leaving an indelible mark as School Captain and Dux of the Year. Her leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to personal growth set the foundation for an extraordinary journey ahead.

Former Ballet stream student, during her time at school, Vanessa was also accepted into pre-professional ballet training at the Australian International Ballet Academy, showcasing her talent, discipline, and passion for the arts. Balancing her academic achievements with her commitment to ballet, she embodied the spirit of perseverance and ambition.

After graduating, Vanessa pursued a Bachelor of Commerce and Business, equipping herself with the skills to thrive in the world of entrepreneurship.

Career & Achievements

In 2018, Vanessa co-founded Yellowbox, a cutting-edge smart locker system designed to simplify storage with Bluetooth technology. Her vision and drive helped Yellowbox grow into a trusted solution for major organizations, including Nike, Canon, and Zurich. As the UK & EU Director, she has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s global footprint, overseeing its international operations and fostering key partnerships.

Through her leadership, Yellowbox has revolutionized the way storage is managed in corporate offices, campuses, venues, and public spaces, making secure and seamless access more efficient than ever.
