Meet Australia’s youngest CEO Ali Kitinas
Year 10 student Ali has been making headlines recently – both locally and internationally – for her business Freedom Scrub. In one of her recent interviews she spoke with Channel 10’s The Project about being Australia’s youngest CEO.
Products from Freedom Scrub include ethical coffee and sugar body scrubs, with funds from the social enterprise business going towards providing health care and medical services for children living on the streets in Kolkata, India.
In a dream opportunity, Ali also recently met Sir Richard Branson at his home on the Necker Island in the British Virgin Isles. She spent a week on the island with 33 other global entrepreneurs and business leaders from Singapore, Bali, UK, USA, Switzerland and Aus. She was fortunate to speak about her business, social impact and youth entrepreneurship at a global think tank with representatives from Virgin Unite, the philanthropic arm of the Virgin company. Over the week she was lucky enough to go sailing with Richard on a small boat with just three others, and discussed with him the importance of young thought leaders and social business.
Funds raised from Freedom Scrub go towards The Hope Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting the protection of street and slum children and the most underprivileged in India.
