Hitting the high notes
It has been a busy start to the year for the Music Stream. The year began with a workshop with one of Australia’s finest drummers – Gordon Rytmeister. Everyone enjoyed hearing Gordon share his story, industry experience, and everything drums.
In Week 4, our Senior Jazz Quartet played a lunch function at the Pennant Hills Golf Club for their Centenary celebrations. Over 150 club members attended, and there were many positive comments from the audience.
Another of our Senior Jazz Quintets supplied the background music for the New Parents’ Cocktail Party. The Music Stream was represented by our 2023 Scholarship Winner, Genevieve Ceserano. Another fantastic opportunity for our students to perform live and a delight for everyone watching.
Week 6 saw the Secondary School Instrumental and Vocal Competitions. Seeing so many students take the opportunity to perform for their friends and family was a joy. Congratulations to the following students.

The Senior Music Stream provided entertainment at Vizio Café e Cucina for their Live gig opportunity, and it was a fantastic night. The students did themselves and the College proud, playing to a sold-out venue. Our term concludes with two Showcases in Week 9. Years 7 – 9 Music Stream that performed Toons in Tunes, songs from animated films, and the Years 10 – 12 Music Stream, that performed Movie Hits.
