Mary Vasey
Mary is a RADA trained actor who also studied at the Trinity College UK. She worked for many years as a professional actor in the UK, Europe and Australia including roles in All Saints, Home and Away and New Tricks amongst many others. Mary has been teaching drama for over thirty years including preparing students for auditions for film,TV and theatre. She is well-known as an expert in preparation of students for Eisteddfod and AMEB drama exams as well as HSC monologues with outstanding results.
Mary teaches Theatre and Screen Acting and prepares students for AMEB examinations and Eisteddfods.
Romy Bartz
Romy graduated from NIDA (Acting) in 2002 with a BA in Dramatic Arts. She has worked as an actor for Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Railway Street, Melbourne Arts Centre, The Seymour Centre, The Old Fitzroy, Belvoir and toured extensively with The Theatre of Image and ATOD. She has performed in a variety of short films, TV, Radio plays and TVC’s.
Romy has taught drama for over 20 years in Australia and the UK. She has been at The McDonald College for 13 years teaching acting for stage and screen and has directed many student productions; A Comedy of Manners, Cosi, Black Rock, Ali Baba, Two Weeks with the Queen, The Grumpiest Boy in the World, The 13th Story Treehouse, Ash Girl and It’s All Greek to Me. She has directed several adult productions and in 2016 she wrote, produced and directed her first full length musical, Battlers and Dreamers for the Sydney Fringe Festival. In 2021 she directed her first music video D&Q for Bird Signs that has since been a finalist in over 6 international film festivals and won best music video at Lacorne International Film Festival. Romy privately coaches actors of all ages in technique, audition prep (theatre/TV/Film), and HSC drama.
Danny Ball
Danny is a professional actor, producer, writer, director as well as an Acting teacher and coach. He is a graduate from NIDA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting).
He has produced several theatre productions in Sydney, as well as MTM’s short film Pearly Gates, starring Socratis Otto and Emily Weir. His play The Italians has been programmed as part of Belvoir 25a’s 2022 season. Also in 2022, he will be directing the Australian premiere of Tom at the Farm for KXT.
Recent acting credits include: Seth in A Beginner’s Guide to Grief (SBS), Much Ado About Nothing (Bell Shakespeare), The Players Tour (Bell Shakespeare), Home and Away (Network 7), developments for Queensland Theatre, Belvoir and Bell Shakespeare as well as TVCs for AMP, Youfoodz, Canadian Club and TAC. He has taught for Bell Shakespeare, NIDA, the Australian Theatre for Young People and Parramatta Actor’s Centre among many others.
Danny teaches Acting for the Stage and Screen Acting, and prepares students for auditions and self-tapes.
Eloise Snape
Eloise completed a Bachelor of Media in Writing at Macquarie University and received a scholarship to study in London. She also attended Actors Centre Australia and holds an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts majoring in Acting.
She has worked extensively as an actor for Bell Shakespeare, Griffin, Sport for Jove, Redline Productions, Critical Stages and Outhouse Theatre. She was nominated for a Sydney Theatre Award for her performance in 4000 Miles, works consistently on screen and as a voiceover artist for major advertising campaigns and productions.
Eloise’s debut play Pony is shortlisted for the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award 2022-23 and the Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award 2021.
Eloise teaches Stage and Screen Acting, Playwriting and Voice work.
Hayden Tonazzi
Hayden is a Theatre Director who graduated from NIDA with a Masters of Fine Arts (Directing).
His directing credits include new Australian work, This Genuine Moment by Jacob Parker for La Mama in Melbourne, and the Old 505 in Sydney; the Australian Premiere of Significant Other by Joshua Harmon for The New Theatre; and The Mad Ones by Kerrigan & Lowdermilk for the Global Online Broadway Lab during the pandemic. In 2022, Hayden will be directing Tell Me Before The Sun Explodes for the KXT Mainstage Season, a new Australian work by Jacob Parker starring Tim McGarry.
Hayden teaches Stage Acting and Directing and specialises in helping students with auditions and building the audition repertoire.
Alexander Lee Rekers
Alexander is a Sydney-based writer, producer, director and educator. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney, AFTRS and NIDA – where he completed his Masters in Writing For Performance. In addition to a writing career that has seen him work across theatre and television, Alexander has taught writing, drama and filmmaking at several institutions from a primary to a postgraduate level including NIDA, the University of Wollongong and the Australian Theatre For Young People. He is a co-founder of Ratcatch Theatre and co-director of Bondi Kids Drama. In 2018, he was awarded the Australian Theatre for
Young People’s (ATYP) Foundation Commission for his play Lights In The Park, which premiered in 2021. He is currently under commission with Jopuka Productions for his play The Brown Bag Canteen.
Alexander teaches Acting for the Stage and Screen, Playwrighting, and tutors students for auditions
